There is something called ‘pre-travel doughnut’ or at least there
should be. I am talking about the one you get, after doing all of your last-minute
shopping two days before traveling. You are rushing from one shop to another to
make sure you don't forget anything. Travel size deodorant, fanny pack to hold
your stuff when you’re touristing around, currency exchange to get through the
first day after arriving, and many more. And you’ve finished all of those chores and are
happy and tired and excited and slightly nervous at the same time. You decide
to take a moment to slow down and gather your thoughts. You then go to your
favorite coffee place to stay by yourself few hours and have a last doughnut
before your trip. Yes, this definitely should be a thing. The more I write, the
more sense it makes. I am not a big doughnut person but there are some moments that
definitely require a doughnut and this is one of those moments.
So, I have three upcoming trips, each of them on different continents. One of them is a continent I've never visited before. Thus, it is definitely an exciting moment for me. Feeling less nervous this time because I feel like I am getting better and better at this travel prep game. Last night I managed to fit my one-week worth of clothes and other stuff into a backpack, which I’ve never done before. Learning to be more efficient and logical in every step and feeling less anxious due to having more confidence in yourself is definitely priceless. But more importantly, the unknown of the upcoming adventures is exhilarating. I genuinely cannot wait to experience a rollercoaster of emotions miles and miles away from home. Also, it means more blog posts on the way, hopefully. It is a shame, my last blog post was 5 months ago. But in my defence, I have focused on writing my book, and whenever something floats into my mind, I just write it as a new chapter to my book and hence my blog has been a bit neglected lately. But I still want to keep the ball rolling. Mainly because this has been my first love since September 2013 and even for a shorter update, I still want to keep it alive. Tomorrow is actually my 10-year blogiversary. So here is to many more 10 years!
10 years? Time goes fast. GRATZ. May your success always be. We are happy to follow. Have fun on your new routes XOXO
